Vision, mission and values
The Vision for CAIRP is that members are recognized leaders in providing solutions to financially challenged individuals and businesses. The Mission of CAIRP is to:

  1. Educate and support its members in providing insolvency, restructuring and related advisory services in a manner that instils the highest degree of public trust; and
  2. Advocate for a fair, transparent and effective system of insolvency and restructuring administration throughout Canada. CAIRP and its members are committed to professionalism, trustworthiness and objectivity.

CAIRP and its members are committed to professionalism, trustworthiness and objectivity. General membership is open to anyone who completes the National Insolvency Qualification Program (NIQP), and is licensed as a trustee in bankruptcy. CAIRP and the Superintendent of Bankruptcy jointly administer the NIQP, which harmonizes the qualifications required to become a CIRP and to become a trustee in bankruptcy. The NIQP promotes CAIRP’s goal of all CIRPs being trustees and all trustees being CIRPs.
